Data Engineering Manager

Would you like to lead a team of Data Engineers to deliver complex data engineering capabilities and services? We have a vacancy for a Data Engineering Manager based in either Scotstoun or Filton.

Reporting to the Enterprise Integration & Data Warehouse Manager, you’ll provide delivery leadership, technical assurance and people leadership. Your role acts as a key interface between senior stakeholders, architecture, platform teams, and delivery teams, supporting in the effective operation and continuous improvement of the business data and integration capabilities.

Your main responsibilities as Data Engineering Manager\:

· Hold end to end accountability for the delivery of multiple, complex data engineering initiatives for the business-critical Data Warehouse and integration capabilities.

· Lead a team of Data Engineers to facilitate delivery of high-quality data engineering outputs for the business, sector and group as required.

· Translate organisational and programme data engineering objectives into clear delivery plans and outcomes.

· Ensure delivery for all data engineering initiatives is predictable, transparent, and aligned to agreed priorities, budgets, and timelines.

Your skills and qualifications\:

· Proven background in delivering complex data engineering initiatives within a large organisational environment.

· Prior experience of leading and managing and mentoring technical delivery teams.

· Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, especially data platforms and pipelines (ETL/ELT).
