We are looking for a Senior Data Governance & Enterprise Architect to support a strategic technology and data transformation programme in the international sports and events sector.
You will help establish the enterprise data vision, governance model and architectural foundations required to manage data consistently across a complex organisational and technology landscape.
The role combines enterprise architecture, data governance, data management and analytics. You will connect business needs with data and technology decisions, ensuring that information is properly structured, governed, accessible and aligned with wider organisational objectives.
Responsibilities

- Contribute to metadata management, data lineage, data quality and catalogue initiatives.
- Define architectural approaches for SQL and NoSQL data environments.
- Support modern data platforms based on technologies such as Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric.
- Assess existing data structures, platforms, integrations and governance practices.
- Identify gaps, dependencies and opportunities for data and architecture modernisation.
- Support analytics and reporting initiatives through consistent data architecture.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, application teams, architects and governance bodies.
- Maintain enterprise architecture models, roadmaps and decision records.
- Provide clear and pragmatic recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to business-process modelling and the alignment between processes, data and systems.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in enterprise architecture, data architecture or data governance.
- Strong experience in data management and data-governance frameworks.
- Experience defining data principles, standards, ownership models and governance processes.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling for operational and analytical environments.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL data architectures.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric.
- Understanding of metadata management, data cataloguing, data lineage and data quality.
- Experience aligning data architecture with business processes and enterprise capabilities.
- Ability to create architectural models, roadmaps and clear technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, service-oriented and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence architectural and governance decisions across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or Switzerland-based international environment.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Experience with Coalesce Catalog or an equivalent data-catalogue platform will be considered an advantage. Experience with LeanIX, enterprise architecture repositories or business-process modelling will also be valued.
Hiring Process
Our hiring process is designed to help both sides make an informed decision and ensure the best possible match between your experience, aspirations, and the project environment. Please note that the process may vary depending on the complexity and specific requirements of each opportunity.
- Initial Conversation with Us: a first discussion focused on understanding your background, strengths, motivations, and the type of environment where you can thrive and create the greatest impact.
- Project Team Qualification: a conversation with the project team to explore the role, responsibilities, expectations, and mutual alignment.
- Role-Specific Evaluation (when applicable): depending on the position, this stage may include technical assessments, practical exercises, certification validation, personality assessments, security clearance requirements, or other evaluation methods relevant to the role.
- Final Alignment Meeting: a final conversation to ensure expectations are aligned on both sides and that, if we move forward together, we start with clarity, confidence, and shared objectives.
