Data Platform Engineer
Summary
Designs, automates, and supports scalable, secure cloud data platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP — building pipelines with Python, Airflow/Astro, and Databricks and provisioning with Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD (Harness/GitOps). Long-term work-from-home with a permanent night-shift schedule.
SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Data
Platform Engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps,
and enterprise technology solutions. The role will be responsible for
designing, implementing, and supporting scalable and secure cloud environments
across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The ideal candidate should have experience in cloud
migration, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, data
platforms, and cloud security while working closely with technical teams and
stakeholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong experience with
Python for platform engineering, automation, and integrations
- Hands-on experience
with Apache Airflow / Astronomer Astro, including DAG development and
operational support
- Experience
administering and integrating Databricks, including workspaces, jobs, clusters,
notebooks, and Unity Catalog
- Solid understanding of
AWS, including IAM, EKS, S3, Secrets Manager, Lambda, CloudWatch, and
networking
- Experience with
Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, for cloud and platform
provisioning
- Familiarity with CI/CD
pipelines and deployment automation, including Harness and GitOps practices
- Experience designing
and supporting self-service platform capabilities and reusable onboarding
patterns
- Strong knowledge of
cloud security, including IAM roles, policies, secrets management, and
governance
- Proven troubleshooting
skills across infrastructure, platform, and application integration layers
- Strong communication
and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside onshore architects
and client or delivery teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5+ years of
experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Architecture, DevOps, or related
technical roles.
- Strong hands-on
experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD
tools, infrastructure automation, and Infrastructure as Code, particularly
Terraform.
- Knowledge of Docker,
Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
- Experience with cloud
migration, networking, security, and identity and access management.
- Knowledge of DevOps
practices, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working
with data platforms or enterprise applications is an advantage.
- Strong communication
and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant cloud
certifications are preferred.
