Job Description

Scope of Work and Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines, as well as data lake and data warehouse architectures
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency in cloud environments (e.g., Azure)
  • Lead the adoption and implementation of modern data engineering tools and frameworks, such as:
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data platform performance and reliability issues to ensure stable operations
  • Collaborate with the product delivery team and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver meaningful insights
  • Actively participate in Agile development processes, including Scrum and Kanban ceremonies
  • Prepare high-level and detailed technical designs for data solutions
  • Apply best practices in:
  • Coding
  • Testing
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in analytics and data engineering, and recommend continuous improvements
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications (Education & Work Experience)

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

Relevant Experience and Other Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a platform engineering or software engineering role
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the architecture, design, and development of integrated systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms, such as:
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform
  • TypeScript
  • Python
  • Familiarity with:
  • Modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Databricks)
  • Relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies
  • Experience working in Agile environments, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Services and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage
  • Certifications in Secure Coding, Scrum, or DevOps are a plus
  • Experience working in collaborative teams (five or more members)
  • Ability to work effectively with senior executives from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid setup, requiring to report onsite three (3) times per week. If the requesting unit requires contractors to report to HQ, compliance is mandatory
  • Work arrangement details will also be discussed during the hiring process, with an opportunity for candidates to ask questions
