Data Platform Operations Engineer/Microsoft Fabric
Summary
Operations engineer providing day-to-day operational leadership of a Microsoft Fabric data platform at a global organisation: managing capacities, workspaces, security, and releases across Dev/Test/UAT/Production, monitoring performance and SLAs, and automating deployments with Azure DevOps.
Data Platform Operations Engineer (Microsoft Fabric) is required by a global organisation to lead the operational management of a Microsoft Fabric-based data platform.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing operational leadership for the Microsoft Fabric data platform and associated data services, ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and scalability of production data environments.
- Managing Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, security models, and platform settings across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
- Coordinating platform releases and deployments across environments.
- Monitoring platform performance, SLAs, and capacity to support service management and operational support.
- Implementing security, identity, and access management controls across Microsoft Fabric in line with organisational standards.
Required experience and skills:
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Fabric administration, with good knowledge of capacities, workspaces, security models, and platform settings.
- Experience managing Fabric environments across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud platform operations.
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, including Fabric release management.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability for Microsoft Fabric platform performance and capacity.
- Experience with identity and access management for Fabric workspaces, users, and service accounts.
- Service management, incident, and problem management experience.
