Data Quality Engineer

Join our Data Foundation Delivery team as a Data Quality Engineer in a transformational ERP program. Starting as a consultant for 6 months with a clear path to become a permanent internal team member.

You will connect data to business processes, uncover insights, improve data readiness, and help drive the journey from blueprinting to a harmonized SAP S/4HANA future.


Your key responsibilities

  • Execute data profiling for priority SAP and authoritative non-SAP sources supporting enterprise end-to-end processes.
  • Translate profiling results into clear data quality findings, business impact views, and remediation inputs for data owners and stewards.
  • Design, implement, test, and tune reusable data quality rules, thresholds, alerts, and validation checks using Informatica IDMC/IICS/CDQ, SQL, Python, and Databricks.
  • Support fit-gap analysis, source-to-target assumptions, mapping logic, transition guardrails, and migration readiness inputs for future SAP landscape blueprinting exercise.
  • Build consistent profiling output packs, Data Health metrics, dashboards, and technical documentation to support transparency and decision making.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Governance, Technical Data Stewards, Data Owners, business SMEs, Nucleo Program such as Tech Foundation, Finance, and E2E process streams to drive issue triage, root-cause analysis, and remediation planning.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Management, or a related field.
  • Solid hands-on experience in data quality engineering, data profiling, data validation, data integration, or data migration readiness, and data remediation within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, with practical experience in Databricks, Spark SQL, PySpark, and data pipeline development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing scalable data quality solutions, controls, monitoring frameworks, and automation capabilities to improve data reliability and trust.
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica (IDMC, IICS, CDQ), including profiling, rule development, mappings, workflow automation, monitoring, alerts, and remediation processes.
  • Preferred familiarity with SAP and S/4HANA industry-standard end-to-end business processes, with hands-on experience in one or more areas such as Order-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Plan-to-Produce, Forecast-to-Supply Planning, or Design-to-Market
  • Ability to analyze complex data structures, source systems, and business requirements, translating them into effective data quality rules, technical solutions, controls, and documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, combined with a collaborative, curious, and accountable mindset, with experience working in Agile, cross-functional, and global team environments.
