Summary

Build AI/ML models for satellite-based change detection using Sentinel-1/2 imagery, Python, and PyTorch to analyze terrain changes and pipeline displacement.

Data Scientist – Geospatial Remote Sensing / Satellite Analytics

We are looking for a Data Scientist with strong experience in Geospatial Remote Sensing to build AI/ML models for satellite-based change detection and early-warning systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise with Sentinel-1 (SAR) & Sentinel-2 imagery, Python, PyTorch, and geospatial data processing to detect terrain changes, pipeline displacement, and sand encroachment.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in Geospatial Remote Sensing and satellite imagery analysis
  • Strong Python skills (NumPy, Rasterio/GDAL, Xarray, GeoPandas, Shapely, Scikit-Image)
  • Experience working with Sentinel-1 (SAR) & Sentinel-2 imagery
  • Deep Learning using PyTorch, including Transfer Learning, LoRA/PEFT
  • Experience with change detection, time-series analysis, model validation (ROC/AUC), and geospatial data processing
  • Good understanding of Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS), reprojection, and remote sensing workflows

Nice to Have:

  • InSAR/SAR offset tracking (SNAP, ISCE)
  • Geospatial foundation models (Prithvi-EO, TerraTorch)
  • Copernicus/CDSE, Sentinel Hub, STAC
  • MLOps, cloud, and geospatial data pipelines
  • Space Tech, Earth Observation, Oil & Gas, or Pipeline Monitoring experience

Education: MSc/PhD in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, Earth Observation, Computer Science/Machine Learning, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
