This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Solutions AI Application Developer based in United States.
The Data Solutions AI Application Developer will help turn advanced AI capabilities into practical, scalable applications used across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of data science, analytics, software development, and business operations. You will rapidly design and deploy lightweight applications and intuitive user interfaces powered by generative AI, agentic AI, and NLP. Low-code and platform-native technologies will be central to accelerating AI adoption, while Python and SQL will enable deeper customization and integration. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, IT, and architecture teams to move solutions from analytical environments into production. Accountabilities:
- Design, configure, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications using low-code and no-code platforms, including technologies such as Databricks Apps, Microsoft Power Apps, Copilot Studio, UiPath, and similar solutions.
- Develop intuitive and accessible user interfaces that make generative AI, agentic AI, and NLP capabilities practical and easy to use for business and operational teams.
- Translate AI and analytical model outputs into actionable business workflows, integrating intelligent capabilities with existing platforms, processes, and enterprise use cases.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to transition solutions from analytical environments such as Databricks into reliable, production-ready applications.
- Develop Python and SQL logic to support automation, orchestration, backend functionality, and system integrations when low-code capabilities alone are not sufficient.
- Use Python-based frameworks such as Streamlit, Flask, FastAPI, or Django to create custom application enhancements and extend platform-native solutions where required.
- Conduct application testing, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization to improve reliability, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Ensure applications meet appropriate usability, accessibility, compliance, security, and performance expectations throughout development and deployment.
- Work within Agile and iterative development methodologies, rapidly prototyping solutions, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and continuously improving applications.
- Support production deployments, incident management, issue resolution, and ongoing application maintenance as needed.
- Partner across IT, platform architecture, analytics, and other technical teams to coordinate smooth production deployment and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, although equivalent years of relevant professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- At least 5 years of application development experience using object-oriented programming concepts, platform-based development, or comparable software development approaches.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying applications using cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to use code for AI integration, backend logic, automation, orchestration, and extending low-code applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency with low-code/no-code platforms such as Databricks Apps, Microsoft Power Apps, Copilot Studio, UiPath, or similar technologies.
- Practical understanding of advanced AI technologies, including generative AI and LLM-based applications, agentic AI and orchestration frameworks, and natural language processing.
- Familiarity with Python-based UI and application frameworks such as Streamlit, Flask, FastAPI, or Django, particularly for building custom functionality beyond standard low-code capabilities.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility standards, with the ability to create applications that are intuitive and effective for diverse business users.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, application troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Experience working in Agile, iterative, and/or test-driven development environments, with a practical approach to rapid prototyping and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to translate technical capabilities into practical business solutions.
- A self-directed, innovative, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach, with the curiosity and flexibility to keep pace with rapidly evolving AI technologies.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred, as is experience leading development initiatives or building solutions within multi-tier or service-based architectures.
- Base salary range of $94,100 to $164,800 annually, with final compensation determined based on factors including education, training, experience, role scope, complexity, and internal and external market data.
