Job Description

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle database environments.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning solutions.
  • Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning using Oracle RMAN.
  • Ensure database availability, reliability, security, and integrity across production and non-production environments.
  • Manage database upgrades, patching, and migration activities with minimal downtime.
  • Create, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and PL/SQL packages.
  • Monitor database storage, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
  • Implement and maintain database security policies, user roles, and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, errors, and performance issues promptly.
  • Support application deployment by providing database-related changes and configurations.
  • Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal database performance.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database Administration (11g, 12c, 19c, or later versions).
  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.
  • Experience in database installation, configuration, migration, upgrade, and patch management.
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN.
  • Experience with Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RAC, and ASM is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with database security, user access management, and data encryption.
  • Experience in monitoring database health, troubleshooting, and resolving performance issues.
  • Knowledge of database replication, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Experience with database monitoring and administration tools.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and change management is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
