JOB SUMMARY
Lone Star National Bank is seeking a highly motivated Database Administrator (DBA) with 3+ years of experience to support and maintain the Bank's enterprise data ecosystem. The DBA is responsible for the administration, performance, security, availability, and recoverability of the Bank's on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid database platforms, supporting core banking applications, digital banking platforms, business intelligence solutions, data warehouses, analytics platforms, and other critical business systems.
This role will support technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), Microsoft Fabric, and other current or future database and data platform technologies that support the Bank's strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and other database platforms.
- administering on-prem and Azure cloud database platforms, or hybrid environments.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and storage utilization.
- Perform database tuning and optimization to improve application performance.
- Develop and maintain database maintenance plans, including backups, index management, and integrity checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents, performance issues, and outages.
- Administer database access using role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Implement database security best practices and ensure compliance with bank security standards.
- Manage database credentials and privileged access in accordance with security policies.
- Design and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
- Perform and document restoration testing activities.
- Support application implementations, upgrades, and data migrations.
- Coordinate with vendors and application owners during system upgrades and troubleshooting activities.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and incident response activities as required.
- Collaborate with IT/IS leadership to evaluate, recommend, and implement tools that enhance security posture, endpoint lifecycle management, and user experience.
