Database Administrator
Summary
Maintains and optimizes relational databases (MySQL, Oracle) for performance, security, and reliability while collaborating with developers on schema design and migrations.
Position
Database Administrator on a contract basis in Gujrat.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure database software.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues.
- Ensure data integrity and security through backups, disaster recovery plans and access controls.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize database design and performance for applications.
- Perform database migrations, upgrades and patches as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation on database configurations, procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases MySQL, Oracle.
- Familiarity with database design principles and query optimization techniques.
- Experience with backup/recovery processes and disaster recovery plans.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues in a timely manner.
Salary
We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this contract position.
Location
This job is located in Gujrat. Relocation assistance may be provided if necessary.
