Database Administrator
Summary
Maintains and secures databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), troubleshoots performance issues, and implements backup/recovery strategies for a contract role in Gujrat.
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Gujrat, India. As a contract DBA you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our organization’s databases ensuring they are secure, reliable and perform at optimal levels.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure database software.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues.
- Ensure data integrity and security.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure database compatibility with other systems.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new database structures.
- Conduct regular maintenance activities such as updates and patches.
- Provide technical support to users regarding database access and usage.
- Create documentation for database processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- Expertise in database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity principles.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL or Java.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
Salary: $1600.
Location: Gujrat, India.
