Database Administrator

Summary

Maintains and secures databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), troubleshoots performance issues, and implements backup/recovery strategies for a contract role in Gujrat.

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Gujrat, India. As a contract DBA you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our organization’s databases ensuring they are secure, reliable and perform at optimal levels.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure database software.
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Ensure data integrity and security.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure database compatibility with other systems.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new database structures.
  • Conduct regular maintenance activities such as updates and patches.
  • Provide technical support to users regarding database access and usage.
  • Create documentation for database processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
  • Expertise in database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity principles.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL or Java.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field.

Salary: $1600.

Location: Gujrat, India.

Employment Type: Contract.
