Zumiez Distribution Center Seasonal Custodian/Facilities Team Member - 2nd Shift

Work Schedule: Monday -- Friday 3PM -- 11:30PM, with overtime if needed
Note: You must be at least 18 years old to work at the Zumiez Distribution Center

POSITION PURPOSE

To clean and maintain the distribution center (DC) common areas and process outgoing refuse and recyclables to optimize total building product flow. Position requires proficiency in using cleaning chemicals and common tools safely and the ability to work well individually and in a team environment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform cleaning tasks of common areas throughout the DC to include but not limited to bathrooms, lunch area, employee lounge, kitchen areas, offices, walkways/aisles and parking lot. This includes normal routine duties and as conditions dictate
• Maintenance duties
• Refuse and recycling
• Perform all job duties in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to performance standards
• Ability to recognize issues and escalate to supervisor timely
• Other duties as assigned

• 1 Year janitorial, mechanical, custodial experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to lift from floor to above the head, 50 lbs. frequently, and 75 lbs. occasionally, throughout work shift
• Ability to use hands to handle or feel product
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
• Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, twist, and reach
• Ability to work in warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery
• Ability to work in varied temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
• Ability to climb and use ladders safely
• Ability to become certified in operating various types of powered and non-powered equipment including but not limited to forklifts, scissor lifts, leaf blowers, drills, table saws, common cleaning tools and floor scrubbers
