DCS Senior Application Design Engineer

Description

Key responsibilities:

System design & implementation: Design, configure, implement, and maintain Emerson DeltaV systems for process automation projects.

System integration & customization: Perform system integration, programming, and customization based on project requirements to ensure seamless system functionality.

System testing & commissioning: Conduct system testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, and site support activities.

Troubleshooting & issue resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve control system and instrumentation issues, ensuring smooth plant operations.

Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (process, electrical, mechanical) to ensure proper system integration.

Compliance & safety: Ensure all systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.

Technical documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs, configurations, and user manuals.

Training & support: Provide ongoing technical support and training to plant operations and maintenance staff.

Requirements

Requirements:

Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in electrical power, communication, mechatronics, instrumentation, control, or a related field.

Experience: 3–6 years of professional experience in process automation or control systems engineering. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV systems.

Technical skills: Strong knowledge of process control logic, HMI configuration, control strategies, and system integration. Experience in commissioning and start-up of automation projects. Solid troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Language: Fluent in English.

Travel flexibility: Willingness to travel abroad as required for project and support activities.
