Job Description
Deal Support Specialist
Locations: Waltham, MA | Hybrid
Get To Know Us:
Our Customer Success organization supports the world's most demanding transactions, and we are building a new team dedicated to serving customers throughout the deal lifecycle. As a Deal Support Specialist, you will be the responsive, knowledgeable point of contact behind the scenes of active M&A transactions: onboarding new deal teams, provisioning access, and resolving requests quickly and accurately so that dealmakers can stay focused on the deal itself.
This is an early-career role for someone who thrives on precision, moves fast without cutting corners, and wants direct exposure to how M&A transactions actually run. It is also a launchpad: strong performers in this role build the platform expertise and customer instincts that position them for advancement into Customer Success Manager and other roles across the organization.
Why You Will Love It Here!
- Flexibility: Hybrid Work Model and Business Casual Dress Code, including jeans
- Your Future: 401k Matching Program, Professional Development Reimbursement
- Work/Life Balance: Flexible Personal/Vacation Time Off, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays
- Your Wellbeing: Medical, Dental, Vision, Employee Assistance Program, Parental Leave
- Wide Ranging Perspectives: Committed to Celebrating the Variety of Backgrounds, Talents and Experiences of Our Employees
- Training: Hands-On, Team-Customized, including SS&C University
- Extra Perks: Discounts on fitness clubs, travel and more!
What You Will Get To Do:
- Onboard new users and deal teams to the platform, guiding them through setup so they can move quickly once a transaction is underway.
- Provision access and permissions accurately and promptly as deal teams and data rooms are stood up or change.
- Process bulk and structural requests, such as folder creation and user additions, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Respond to common assist and deal-served service requests, resolving what you can directly and routing what you can't to the right team.
- Own your performance against response time, processing time, and accuracy targets, and track your own results.
- Help stand up the reporting and operating processes for this newly formed team, since you will be one of its founding members.
- Participate in a rotational schedule that includes occasional after-hours and weekend coverage, supporting the around-the-clock responsiveness that M&A transactions demand.
What You Will Bring:
- 0–2 years of professional experience; a bachelor's degree is required.
- Paralegal experience is a strong plus. We value the attention to detail, diligence, and rigor that background brings.
- Prior exposure to M&A transactions, deal execution, or similar transaction-support technology is a plus, though not required.
- Comfort learning complex software quickly and explaining it clearly to others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the judgment to know when a request needs to move fast versus when it needs to be double-checked.
- Willingness to work a flexible, rotational schedule that occasionally includes evenings and weekends.
What Success Looks Like:
In your first several months, you will build real proficiency in M&A workflows and in how our platform supports each stage of a transaction. From there, success means executing requests faster, more accurately, and more dependably than customers have come to expect, and it means being a builder: helping shape the processes and reporting that this team runs on from day one.
Growth Path:
This role is designed to develop future Customer Success talent. Deal Support Specialists who build strong platform and workflow expertise are well positioned to grow into Customer Success Manager roles and other opportunities across the organization.
Location and Schedule:
This role is based in our Waltham, MA office. It includes a rotational component with occasional after-hours and weekend shifts to support customers working around the clock on active transactions.
