Position Summary
The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Transportation Department, including driver support, route execution, dispatch oversight, safety compliance, driver development, and operational performance.

This role works closely with Transportation leadership and CDL Drivers to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership skills, operational awareness, and a commitment to employee development and safety.

Key Responsibilities
• Coach, direct, and counsel drivers regarding performance expectations and operational standards.
• Monitor driver performance and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Work alongside drivers in the field a minimum of one full day per week to provide training, support, and reinforcement of company delivery policies and procedures.
• Build strong working relationships with drivers and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support daily delivery operations and route execution.
• Oversee dispatching activities and assist with transportation-related issues as needed.
• Ensure all Transportation Drivers are logged into Roadnet each morning.
• Publish required Roadnet reports daily, including daily case reports and operational reporting for Branch Management.
• Support efficient route performance and service execution.

Safety & Compliance
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure DOT files and medical certifications remain current for all CDL Drivers.
• Promote and enforce all safety practices, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure fleet-related concerns are properly communicated for timely corrective action.
• Assist in conducting performance evaluations for Transportation Department employees.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and employee development efforts.
• Process payroll-related documentation to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
• Process uniform orders and maintain department-related employee records.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies issued by the cashier department.
• Support investigation and resolution of delivery-related issues and complaints.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve communication, service levels, and operational performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a delivery driver.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Must possess a CDL or be willing to obtain a CDL within six months of hire.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as business needs require.

• Strong organizational and planning abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to motivate teams.
• Ability to coach employees and drive performance improvements.
• Knowledge of transportation operations, route management, and DOT compliance requirements.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and stoop throughout the workday.
• Ability to occasionally lift, lower, push, pull, or carry up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to lift and handle products weighing 40–50 pounds.
• Ability to drive a delivery vehicle for extended periods, up to 10 hours as needed.
• Ability to work both in an office environment and in the field alongside drivers.
