About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical Demand Planner with hands-on Amazon FBA experience to optimize inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment across Amazon marketplaces. This role is essential in ensuring products remain in stock while minimizing excess inventory and storage costs.

The ideal candidate understands Amazon's inventory ecosystem, is comfortable working with large datasets, and can turn sales trends into accurate demand forecasts. You'll collaborate with account managers, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure inventory decisions support business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Amazon FBA and FBM inventory using historical sales data, seasonality, and market trends.
  • Monitor inventory levels across Amazon fulfillment centers and flag risks of stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Create and manage replenishment plans and purchase orders in coordination with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Analyze sell-through rates and inventory performance metrics to refine forecasting models.
  • Manage Amazon's Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score and implement strategies to maintain healthy levels.
  • Coordinate with the account management and operations teams to align inventory plans with promotional calendars and product launches.
  • Reconcile Amazon inventory reports and identify discrepancies or lost/damaged inventory for reimbursement claims.
  • Provide weekly and monthly inventory and forecast reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify slow-moving inventory and recommend remediation strategies (e.g., pricing adjustments, promotions, removal orders).
  • Continuously improve forecasting accuracy through data analysis and process refinement
