Lead a Professional Dental Laboratory Team
We are seeking an experienced Dental Laboratory Manager to provide both technical expertise and supervisory leadership within our practice laboratory. This is a hands-on management opportunity for an experienced Dental Lab Technician, Senior Denture Technician, or Dental Laboratory Supervisor with extensive knowledge of denture fabrication, removable prosthetics, and advanced implant-based restorative techniques.
The Dental Laboratory Manager will be responsible for the technical training and development of laboratory technicians, implementation of new dental laboratory products and technologies, and maintaining high standards for quality, efficiency, and patient care.
The ideal candidate combines advanced dental laboratory skills with proven leadership, excellent communication, strong organizational abilities, and sound technical judgment.
Job Summary
The Dental Laboratory Manager oversees technical and supervisory functions within the practice laboratory while remaining actively involved in hands-on dental prosthetic fabrication.
The Manager will:

Lead daily technical and laboratory operations.
Provide on-site training, coaching, and development for laboratory technicians.
Mentor and cross-train laboratory team members.
Support the implementation of new dental laboratory products, technologies, and techniques.
Maintain laboratory quality, productivity, and turnaround-time standards.
Support complex denture, removable prosthetic, and implant restorative cases.
Communicate regularly with the Regional Manager of Laboratory Excellence and other relevant ACI management.
Participate actively in the ACI Laboratory Network.
Collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer and practice team on patient-specific laboratory cases.
Exercise sound professional judgment while following established laboratory procedures and practices.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Advanced Dental Laboratory Expertise

Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of denture fabrication, including:

Complete dentures
Partial dentures
Denture tooth setup
Denture wax-up
Festooning
Carving of teeth
Rough and fine finishing
Denture repairs
Pouring and trimming denture models

Demonstrate proficiency in full-arch hybrid restorations.
Fabricate and support complete dentures, overdentures, and implant-based restorations.
Apply strong knowledge of dental science, anatomy, occlusion, and esthetics to laboratory cases.
Maintain exceptional standards for quality, accuracy, fit, function, and craftsmanship.

Laboratory Leadership & Team Development

Provide on-site technical training and professional development for laboratory technicians.
Mentor technicians and help identify opportunities for skill development.
Cross-train laboratory team members in all areas of the dental laboratory.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support the adoption of new dental laboratory products, technologies, and procedures.
Lead by example through a strong work ethic, positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to quality.
Help maintain consistent technical and production standards throughout the laboratory.

Clinical & Organizational Collaboration

Communicate regularly with the Regional Manager of Laboratory Excellence and other relevant ACI leadership.
Take an active role within the ACI Laboratory Network.
Consult with the Chief Clinical Officer and practice team regarding individual patient cases.
Use a high degree of professional judgment when determining appropriate laboratory solutions based on patient-specific needs.
Collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams to support efficient case completion and excellent patient outcomes.
Follow OSHA protocols and dental laboratory safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of hands-on dental laboratory technical experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a technical supervisory or management capacity.
Significant professional experience fabricating dentures from start to finish.
Expert knowledge of complete denture and removable prosthetic fabrication.
Proven leadership and team-development experience.
Strong understanding of dental science, anatomy, occlusion, and esthetics.
Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, during normal laboratory and practice business hours.

Preferred Experience

Denture and implant experience preferred, but implant experience is not required.
Same-day denture experience is a plus, but not required.
Experience with full-arch hybrid restorations.
Experience with overdentures and implant-based restorative techniques.
Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology.
Experience implementing new dental laboratory products, technologies, or processes.
