Deputy General Manager (Commercial Air Freight & Operations) - East

Our client is a leading integrated logistics and supply chain solutions provider. Due to business expansion, they are now recruiting a Deputy General Manager (Air Freight) to support business growth and operational excellence. They are located in the Central – easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Support the overall business strategy by overseeing commercial and operational performance across freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, and customs activities.
• Develop and execute business plans, sales strategies, and revenue growth initiatives while managing key customer accounts and strategic partnerships.
• Lead contract negotiations, tender submissions, pricing strategies, and vendor management to optimize profitability and service delivery.
• Oversee operational processes, compliance standards, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Monitor financial performance, budgeting, and departmental KPIs to ensure business objectives are achieved.
• Drive process enhancement and digitalization initiatives to improve operational visibility and productivity.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and corporate governance policies.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or transportation operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing business operations and commercial functions.
• Experience in budgeting, P&L management, contract negotiation, and business development.
• Familiar with Air freight forwarding 50%, Sea Freight 30%, Road freight 20%, warehousing, transportation, customs processes, and supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of ERP, logistics management systems, CRM platforms, or equivalent business applications.
• Comfort to travel overseas APAC region 4-7 times a year.
