Deputy Manager - Blade Production

Production Planning & Execution
  • Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly blade production targets.
  • Monitor production schedules and optimize resource utilization to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Process Engineering teams for uninterrupted production.
  • Drive adherence to takt time, cycle time, and productivity targets.
Manufacturing Operations
  • Manage complete blade manufacturing activities including mold preparation, layup, resin infusion, curing, demolding, assembly, finishing, and dispatch readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, process parameters, and engineering specifications.
  • Drive process stability and reduction of manufacturing defects.
Quality Management
  • Ensure First Pass Yield (FPY) and Right First Time (RFT) targets are achieved.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production quality issues.
  • Coordinate with Quality team to minimize rework and rejection losses.
Safety, Health & Environment (EHS)
  • Ensure 100% compliance with EHS standards, PTW requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
  • Drive Zero Harm culture across production teams.
People Management
  • Lead and supervise shift engineers, supervisors, and operators.
  • Ensure manpower deployment as per production requirements.
  • Drive capability development through training, skill matrix improvement, and succession planning.
  • Foster employee engagement and performance excellence.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, yield enhancement, and cost optimization.
  • Support digital manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
Cost & Resource Management
  • Monitor material consumption and wastage.
  • Optimize labour productivity and equipment utilization.
  • Support achievement of annual manufacturing cost reduction targets.
Educational Qualification
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Composite Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
Experience
  • 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
