Design Engineer, R&D (Medical Devices)
Our client is one of the leading players in the medical devices manufacturing sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a R&D Design Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and improve products based on project requirements.
- Support product development from concept, prototyping, testing, through to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering projects.
- Conduct prototype evaluation, testing, and design verification activities.
- Perform engineering analysis and recommend design improvements for quality and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide technical support during product development.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and customer requirements.
- Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement and engineering enhancement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Min Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Min 2 years of experience in product design, product development, R&D, or engineering design within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical standards, and product documentation.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
