Design Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team, embodying Veolia's commitment to resourcing the world. The position requires proficiency in 2D/3D design software for creating detailed plant Engineering including civil/structure, equipment, piping and supports (AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit or Autodesk Plant3D), As-Built drawings, and equipment layouts. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive Plant engineering 3D Model and deliverables based on engineering documentation and ensuring compliance with ASME standards (B31.3/B31.1). The ideal candidate will conduct peer reviews following Global Quality procedures, participate in model reviews, and manage material requisitions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BIM modelling, cordination and repairing documentation based on the level of detailing requirements. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail in preparing technical documentation, collaborating within cross-functional teams, and maintaining project schedules. Essential Responsibilities / Expectations
Able to draft Equipment/Foundation Layout using AutoCAD software
Able to prepare Plant 3D Model based on Basic Engineering documents using 3D Modeling softwares like, Autodesk Revit and Plant 3D etc..
Able to prepare BIM model , coordination and prepare high quality construction or fabrication drawings. Develop model upto LOD 400.
Able to understand & perform peer reviews Quality procedures, processes for skid deliverables.
Able to perform PFD/PID Review, Equipment Layout/Skid Pipe Routing design, 2D drawings extraction and annotation of various deliverables like GAD, plumbs & spool drawings , accurate Bill of Quantity, Support spacing(Metallic & Non-Metallic lines), prepare clash report & resolve before model review- produce compliance report.
Participate in 3D model reviews from concept to completion in order to ensure designers have provided enough flexibility in pipe routing. Ensure BIM Standards and project requirements are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Knowledge on A36: Carbon Structural Steel,A105: Carbon Steel Forgings, for Piping Applications, A106: Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe for High-Temperature Service,A312: Seamless, Welded, and Heavily Cold Worked Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe, A335: Seamless Ferritic Alloy Steel Pipe for High-Temperature Service
Competent to lead a group of engineers as the Lead Skid Engineer, expertise to assist shop problem solving during manufacturing.
Proficient holistic approach for customer specification, schedule, budget and productivity, understand each is dependent on the other.
Educational Qualification: Engineering Degree – Mechanical / Experience in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Required (Min – Max year): 7-10 years’ Experience of mechanical design in Water, Power,Oil & Gas or related Industry.
