Design & Technical Lead

Summary

Lead architectural design development from concept through construction, coordinating with structural/MEP consultants and managing technical documentation, drawings, and compliance.

  • Lead the design development of projects from concept, schematic design, and detailed design through to construction and completion.
  • Establish and maintain the overall design vision, quality, and technical standards of projects.
  • Translate design concepts into technically sound, buildable, and compliant solutions.
  • Review and coordinate architectural/design drawings, specifications, materials, and technical details.
  • Lead design coordination with structural, MEP, specialist, and other consultants.
  • Identify and resolve design and technical issues during design development and construction.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and project team members.
  • Manage design deliverables, programme, priorities, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, authority requirements, and project standards.
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure design intent is successfully delivered.
  • Attend design coordination meetings, site meetings, inspections, and technical reviews as required.
  • Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups, and technical proposals.
  • Support value engineering and design optimisation while maintaining design quality and project objectives.
  • Identify project risks and proactively develop appropriate technical solutions.
  • Contribute to improving internal design processes, standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Represent the company professionally when engaging with clients and external stakeholders.
