Job Summary

We are looking for motivated and customer-focused Level 1 Desktop and Network Engineer to provide technical support for our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing first-level support for desktop systems, network connectivity, and other IT-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices to resolve user issues efficiently
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications to ensure optimal device performance
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems to restore functionality promptly
  • Assist with user account setup, password resets, and profile configurations to support user access needs
  • Deliver basic support for email, Microsoft Office, VPN, and antivirus software to maintain user productivity
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and maintain accurate documentation to track issue resolution
  • Monitor LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi network connectivity to identify and address connectivity issues
  • Support and troubleshoot basic network problems including cable connections, switch port configuration, and IP addressing to maintain network stability
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of network devices and IT assets for accurate asset management
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to Level 2/3 support or network specialists for advanced resolution
  • Log and update support requests in the ticketing system to ensure timely follow-up
  • Provide excellent customer service and follow up with users to confirm issue resolution and satisfaction
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes including hardware setup and software installation to facilitate smooth transitions
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures to uphold security and operational standards

Required competencies and certifications

  • Basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory to support desktop environments
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts such as IP, DNS, and DHCP to troubleshoot network issues

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems to efficiently manage support requests
  • Diploma or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or related field
  • 1–2 years of IT support experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Other Information

  • Rotational shift or after-hours support may be required
  • Onsite support involving travel to office branches or client sites may be required
