Detail Designer (Engineer/Technologist)
As a Detail Designer at Fleetway, you will play a vital role in bringing complex ship designs to life. Working at the intersection of engineering and production, you will transform technical concepts and design requirements into detailed 2D production drawings that support the construction, modernization, and sustainment of advanced naval and marine vessels.
As part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists, you will contribute to the development of detailed drawings for shipboard systems, equipment installations, structural components, foundations, and mechanical and electrical arrangements. Your work will directly support some of Canada's most significant marine and defence programs, helping ensure vessels are built safely, efficiently, and in accordance with shipyard, regulatory, and industry standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of Canada's marine industry, including programs that support the Royal Canadian Navy's next generation of vessels. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals across multiple disciplines, gain exposure to complex engineering challenges, and play a key role in turning design intent into reality.
Whether you're a recent graduate looking to launch your career or an experienced designer seeking your next challenge, Fleetway offers an environment that supports technical development, continuous learning, and professional growth. If you enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively, and seeing the real-world impact of your work, we'd love to hear from you!
