Overview

The Development Coordinator supports the school’s philanthropic efforts by assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of annual fundraising initiatives. Working closely with the Head of School and in collaboration with the Business Office, this position helps cultivate a culture of generosity that advances the school’s mission and strengthens relationships with families, alumni, and community partners.

The Development Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating donor communications, organizing fundraising campaigns and events, and maintaining accurate records of development activities.

Primary Responsibilities

Fundraising Campaign Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of the school’s annual fundraising initiatives.
  • Support the development and distribution of donor communications and campaign materials.
  • Track campaign progress and assist with reporting on fundraising outcomes.

Donor Relations and Stewardship

  • Maintain accurate records of donor information, gifts, and acknowledgments.
  • Coordinate timely donor thank-you communications and stewardship efforts.
  • Assist in identifying and cultivating potential sponsors and donors within the community.

Event Coordination

  • Assist in planning and logistics for the school’s major annual fundraising event and other development-related gatherings.
  • Coordinate volunteers, vendors, and event logistics as needed.
  • Support event promotion and follow-up with participants and sponsors.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized development records and databases.
  • Coordinate with the Business Office to reconcile donations and ensure accurate gift processing.
  • Prepare reports, donor lists, and summaries as requested by the Head of School.
  • Assist with development-related communications including emails, newsletters, and promotional materials.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Head of School, Business Office, and other school staff to support development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with parent groups, volunteers, and community partners when appropriate.
