DevOps/Automated Test Engineer

Parsons is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our team. Are you excited about honing your skills in a fast-paced environment working with a collaborative team? This position is part of a team that supports USCYBERCOM's internal command IT systems, including one-of-a-kind cyberspace operations systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure supporting USCYBERCOM mission systems and cyber operations platforms.
2. Develop, integrate, and optimize automated testing frameworks and validation pipelines to ensure reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical software systems.
3. Support lifecycle management of cyber capabilities by building, deploying, and sustaining scalable infrastructure across development, and test environments.
4. Evaluate emerging DevOps tools, containerization technologies, and automation frameworks, providing recommendations for integration into existing mission environments.
5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, test plans, CI/CD workflows, and operational procedures.
6. Collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity analysts, and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into testable engineering and deployment solutions.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Active TS/SCI w/Poly
2. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in related discipline
3. Minimum 10+ years of related experience with large-scale CI/CD infrastructure and common source control frameworks (ex: Gitlab, MinIO, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
4. Experience supporting integration, deployment, and validation of software systems in multi-environment (dev/test/ops) pipelines
5. Experience using cloud virtualization platforms like vSphere or ARIA
6. Experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks like Robot framework, Pytest, and GoogleTest
7. Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Powershell)
8. Experience utilizing Podman/Docker
9. Advanced verbal and written communication skills with a focus on the creation of technical documentation for testing

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

1. Development Test experience or Cyber Security Engineering
2. Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related discipline
3. Knowledge of cross-compilation and experience building/using them on various architectures (PPC, MIPS, x86, ARM, RISC-V, etc.)
4. Experience with management products like Jira and Confluence
5. Extensive experience parsing user stories or requirements to create testable objectives and measures of performance that will lead to fully tested software products
6. GIAC Cloud Security Automation Certified or equivalent cybersecurity/DevOps certification
