DevOps Engineer

• Sydney - on-site
• 3-6 month contract, daily rate
• Start ASAP (two week start date maximum)

We're partnering with a well-established global organisation looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join on an initial 6-month contract. You'll own the CI/CD pipeline for applications hosted in Microsoft Azure - onboarding projects from GitHub, building out TeamCity and Octopus Deploy pipelines, and driving secure, reliable, automated releases across the full environment stack.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and managing CI/CD pipelines end-to-end using TeamCity and Octopus Deploy, including build configs, environments, variables and lifecycles
• Onboarding new applications from GitHub and integrating webhooks/branching strategies into the pipeline
• Deploying and automating releases to Azure infrastructure across Dev, Test, UAT and Production
• Managing deployment secrets, certificates and configuration, with rollback strategies and release approvals built in
• Troubleshooting build and release issues, and continuously improving pipeline performance
• Partnering with Development, Infrastructure and QA to streamline releases, and keeping documentation/runbooks up to date

Experience needed:

• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy in a production CI/CD environment
• Solid scripting skills across PowerShell, YAML and batch
• Proven track record automating deployments to Azure (VMs and related infrastructure)
• Nice to have: IIS configuration, Docker, Terraform, and monitoring tools (Application Insights/Azure Monitor)
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
