DevOps Engineer, APAC region
Summary
DevOps engineer at Twelve Data, a financial market data provider, keeping high-load distributed systems reliable: administering Linux servers, ensuring service availability and security, identifying weak points, and building internal tooling and capacity plans. Core stack: Linux/Unix, TCP/IP networking, virtualization, and C++ or Python.

Modern high-load services generate huge amounts of data. The task of collecting this databecomes significantly more difficult if it is generated by thousands of servers in hundreds ofterabytes, and the requirements for reliability are extremely high. We are looking forspecialists with experience in the development and operation of distributed systems who willhelp us in solving these problems. As a core participant, you will get the opportunity to workin the development of each product and service.
Basic Requirements:
- A degree in these desired majors: CS, CE, ECE, EECS, IS, IT, MIS, MS&E, and other relatedfields of study.
- Knowledge of one of the higher-level programming languages: C++/Python.
- Work experience with Unix-systems and virtualization tools and deep understanding of them,knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP).
- Knowledge of classical algorithms and data structures.
- Knowledge of classical algorithms and data structures.Experience in the design, development and operation of highly loaded distributed systems.
The ideal candidate is expected to:
- Ensure the availability of services, improve their reliability and security.
- Identify and eliminate weak points, develop documentation, and capacity plans.
- Develop components and tools that simplify work.
- Administer Linux servers, and if you wish - more.

Our backend system relies on custom terabytes-scale distributed time seriesdatabases to store and retrieve data at high speed. We not only provide this data as-is via APIand WebSocket, but also provide SDKs, spreadsheets add-ins, and personalized projects forend-users.
