DevOps Engineer

We're supporting a fast-growing cloud and DevOps consultancy that helps enterprise customers modernise their cloud infrastructure and platform engineering capabilities.

With a team of 60+ senior engineers, the business specialises in AWS, Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code, delivering complex cloud transformation projects for international clients. They're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who can work directly with customers, own projects end-to-end, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

What you'll be doing?

• Design and build cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation and Crossplane.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI and Jenkins.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes environments across AWS and Google Cloud.
• Implement GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux alongside Helm for application deployment.
• Configure Kubernetes tooling including Karpenter, Istio, ingress controllers and other platform components.
• Improve cloud cost optimisation using technologies such as Graviton/Arm64 and Spot Instances.
• Enhance monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, EFK, Pixie and APM solutions.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices using tools including CloudTrail, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Snyk and Wiz.
• Work directly with customers to deliver projects from initial design through to production.

What we're looking for?

• Minimum 2 years commercial experience with AWS.
• Minimum 2 years commercial experience with Kubernetes.
• Minimum 2 years commercial experience using Terraform.
• Proven experience designing and building cloud infrastructure from scratch in production environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Comfortable working independently and owning technical delivery.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers.

Desirable:

• Experience within a consultancy or professional services environment.
• Experience working with Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of GitOps, observability platforms and cloud security tooling.
