DevOps Engineer AWS - FinTech

As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, automate and scale AWS infrastructure to support product teams and financial data platforms. You’ll own cloud environments across multiple environments, using Terraform IaC and ECS-based containers to deliver fast, secure, and reliable software. You’ll improve CI/CD, observability, and security, while guiding governance, cost optimization, and maintainability. This role offers hands-on impact in a scaling fintech context with a collaborative, cross-functional team. You’ll work hybridly from London with flexibility to work remotely part of the week.

• Design and scale AWS infrastructure across environments
• Implement IaC using Terraform and related tools
• Manage ECS-based containerised workloads
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Improve observability through monitoring and logging
• Apply cloud security, IAM and networking best practices
• Support database infra, tooling and automation
• Drive infrastructure governance, documentation and cost optimization
• Ensure security, maintainability and scalability of platforms
• Collaborate with software engineers to boost reliability and developer experience

• 2.1 or above from a top-tier university
• Experience in FinTech or financial services
• Strong AWS cloud infrastructure experience
• Experience managing ECS-based containerised environments
• Hands-on Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of VPCs, load balancers and security groups
• Experience with IAM and cloud security principles
• Scripting/automation experience (Python or similar)
