DevOps Engineer - Azure - Security - Hybrid
Summary

Salary: £38,500 - 67,500 per year
Requirements:
- 3 years experience in a DevOps role, ideally within a security-focused or highly regulated environment.
- Strong Azure expertise, including the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
- Experience designing and managing complex Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure security, and Windows/Linux system administration.
- Experience implementing GitOps principles and modern deployment strategies.
- Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies and best practices.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash and/or Python to automate operational tasks.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Professional certifications in cloud technologies and/or DevOps practices (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes).
- Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Optimise Azure and on-premises application environments.
- Maintain monitoring, logging, and performance across platforms.
- Embed security best practices and ensure ISO/compliance standards.
- Develop scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Partner with Development and IT teams to support application delivery and resolve deployment issues.
- Manage incidents, requests, and problem resolution across the DevOps and application stack.
