DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on implementing tools for continuous integration and delivery, managing and administrating environments, and executing maintenance operations with comprehensive environment monitoring. The ideal candidate will have experience with Jenkins, Git (GitLab), and Ansible, combined with familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools. A basic understanding of finance and investment banking will be a strong advantage for effectively supporting our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Design, implement, and maintain tools and pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
2. Optimize build, deployment, and release processes for efficiency and reliability.
3. Environment Management: Manage and administrate development, testing, and production environments.
4. Ensure seamless environment setup, configuration, and access for development teams.
5. Maintenance and Monitoring: Execute routine maintenance operations to ensure system stability and performance.
6. Implement and utilize monitoring tools to proactively detect and address environment issues.
7. Collaboration & Process Improvement: Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve system reliability.
8. Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices across teams and projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in using Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Hands-on experience with GIT (GitLab) for version control and repository management.
• Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Methodologies & Tools: Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools for system integration and process automation.
• Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of finance and investment banking , including workflows and terminologies.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to address system issues and implement effective solutions.
• Soft Skills: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Organized and proactive approach to managing tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology , Computer Science , or a related field.
• Experience in containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Certification in DevOps practices, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar.
