DevOps Engineer
Summary
DevOps engineer at Deel (global payroll/HR platform) who operates and optimizes AWS EKS SaaS deployments, builds CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code, automates repetitive ops tasks, and maintains monitoring and observability to keep microservices and databases reliable at scale.
In this role you help Deel bridge development and IT operations to enable fast, reliable delivery of the platform. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to improve deployment processes, automate tasks, and ensure scalable, secure, high-performing systems for customers worldwide. Your work reduces downtime and accelerates feature releases, directly supporting Deel’s mission to enable a more inclusive global economy. You will tackle challenging infrastructure problems at scale and contribute to resilient operations.

- Operate and optimize AWS production deployments (SaaS) on EKS
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and IaC for cloud-based production systems
- Develop tooling to enforce DevOps practices and automate repetitive tasks
- Enhance production stability, availability, and reliability
- Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot product microservices and databases
- Design and manage monitoring and observability tooling for issue resolution
- 5+ years of DevOps experience in production
- Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Drone, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar)
- Solid IT background
- Knowledge of networking (K8S ingress, services, load balancers) and AWS services (EKS, Postgres, S3, Mongo, SES, SNS, SQS)
- Experience in automated deployment and infrastructure
- Familiarity with alerting and monitoring tools
