DevOps Engineer- Financial Services
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our client’s technology team within the financial services sector. This role is critical in driving automation, scalability, security, and reliability across mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery and improve deployment reliability
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Improve build, release, and deployment processes through scripting and automation
- Architect and manage scalable, highly available systems on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Ensure optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and system reliability
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)
- Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Troubleshoot system failures and performance bottlenecks
- Drive SRE best practices including incident management and postmortems
- Embed DevSecOps practices across the SDLC
- Ensure systems comply with financial regulations and security standards (e.g. ISO 27001)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies
- Partner with software engineers to improve application performance and deployment processes
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps culture and best practices
- Participate in architectural discussions and technology decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in OpenShift, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering
- Strong experience with:
- CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or trading environments
- Strong hands‑on experience with Linux systems (RHEL/CentOS/Unix)
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and API‑driven systems
- Familiarity with high‑frequency or low‑latency systems
- Experience implementing DevSecOps frameworks and security tooling
- Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.)
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
