Our client is actively seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer to bolster their infrastructure and operations team. This role is based at our Klerksdorp, North West, ZA office and offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of on-site and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across the infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Dev Ops, system administration, or a related role.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Circle CI).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Power Shell.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
