Summary

DevOps engineer with an international financial services organisation, joining its Development Services team to migrate repositories and pipelines from Jenkins/Bitbucket/AWS tools to GitLab CI/CD, build reusable pipeline templates, embed security scanning, and support deployments on Red Hat OpenShift and AWS (ECS/Fargate).

For an international financial services organisation, we’re looking for a hands‑on DevOps Engineer to help move teams from Jenkins to GitLab and improve how they build, secure and deploy software.

Your role

You’ll join an international Development Services team responsible for standardising platforms, pipelines and developer tooling. Your work will support product teams across multiple regions, making software delivery more consistent, secure and easier to manage.

At the centre of the assignment is the transition to GitLab CI/CD. You’ll build reusable pipelines, select and integrate supporting tools, and help development teams migrate successfully. Deployments run across Red Hat OpenShift and AWS, including ECS/Fargate.

What you’ll do

  • Migrate repositories and pipelines from Bitbucket, Jenkins, AWS CodeCommit and CodePipeline to GitLab.
  • Develop reusable pipeline templates, GitLab standards and practical guidance.
  • Select and integrate enterprise tooling, including artifact repositories, security scanners and observability tools.
  • Embed SAST, DAST and dependency scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support secure deployments on OpenShift and AWS.
  • Apply trunk-based development, feature toggles and clear merge request standards.
  • Build pipelines that meet internal controls and provide evidence for audits.
  • Guide development teams through onboarding and migration, sharing knowledge through workshops and training.

What you bring

Your strongest skills are GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins-to-GitLab migration and AWS. You have personally built and improved pipelines, and can explain the technical decisions behind your work.

You also bring:

  • Strong Git knowledge and experience with modern branching strategies.
  • Automation skills in Python and/or Bash.
  • Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • An understanding of security controls within CI/CD.
  • Experience working in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to support teams across regions.
  • A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Why this assignment?

You’ll have a direct influence on the tools and pipelines used across multiple development teams. The role combines technical ownership with close collaboration: you’ll build the solutions and help engineers put them into practice.
