We're seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme, helping to build, automate and support modern cloud-based development environments. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with modern cloud technologies and making a tangible impact on software delivery.

We're seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme, helping to build, automate and support modern cloud-based development environments. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with modern cloud technologies and making a tangible impact on software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines
- Configure and support tools including GitLab, Jenkins and SonarQube
- Automate build, test and deployment processes
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK
- Support cloud-based environments across modern platforms
- Create and maintain automated integrations between systems and APIs
- Build and manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Work closely with development teams to improve delivery speed, quality and reliability
- Champion DevOps best practice and continuous improvement
- Experience within a DevOps, Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering role
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with GitLab, Jenkins or similar automation tools
- Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK
- Experience with Docker and containerised applications
- Exposure to Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Experience working with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms
- Scripting experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell, TypeScript or Node.js
- Experience working within Agile software delivery environments
- Must hold/be eligible for SC clerance
- Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Experience with security, performance or resilience testing tools
- Knowledge of serverless architectures
- Experience integrating applications and services through APIs
- Salary of £45,000 - £60,000
- 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
- Hybrid working with 3 days per week onsite in Newcastle
