Our client is seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer to join their growing IT team in George. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining our deployment pipelines and infrastructure management. This role is crucial for improving the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our software delivery process. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and ensure the smooth operation of our production environments, contributing to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure , primarily on AWS. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or Azure Dev Ops. Implement and enforce infrastructure as code (Ia C) principles using tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and disaster recovery. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment and performance. Ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the infrastructure and deployment process. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or in a similar role involving infrastructure automation. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS , including services like EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC. Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
