Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to support thedesign, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based environments and CI/CDpipelines. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing,deploying, securing, and optimizing cloud applications while ensuring highavailability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• University/Collegedegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  
• Certificationin Software Engineering or related discipline is considered an asset.
  
• Minimumof 5 years of demonstrated experience supporting cloud platforms and CI/CDpipeline initiatives.
  
• Extensiveexperience across the application development lifecycle, including unit,functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance, anduser acceptance testing.
  
• Strongexperience executing systems integration using Linux Shell scripting.
  
• Experiencetracking problems and defects within large-scale projects.
  
• Abilityto work independently and collaboratively within team environments.
  

Technical Capabilities

• Experiencewith leading cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenShift, or similartechnologies.
  
• Experiencemaintaining complex Linux cloud environments, including CentOS and Ubuntu.
  
• Experiencewith build and automation tools including Git, Ansible, CloudFormation,ytt, and related CI/CD technologies.
  
• Experiencewith application containerization and virtualization technologies such asDocker and Kubernetes (K8S).
  
• Experiencewith container orchestration for application deployment, scaling,clustering, monitoring, and automation.
  
• Experienceintegrating systems using APIs and other integration endpoints.
  
• Knowledgeof industry web, architecture, and security standards and best practices.
  
• Hands-onexperience with GitLab CI/CD.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Assessframeworks, platforms, and technology stacks to support the development ofcloud-based solutions.
  
• Design,build, and support cloud environments for deployment of digital products.
  
• Design,build, develop, and administer CI/CD pipelines that enable continuousdevelopment and deployment of modular cloud-based systems.
  
• Monitorand assess cloud-hosted applications to ensure reliability, availability,and optimal performance.
  
• Identify,analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and applicationdeployment issues.
  
• Create,test, and implement safeguards to maintain data integrity and protectagainst unauthorized access.
  
• Prepareexecution plans, testing scripts, and technical design documentation.
  
• Buildand execute technical solutions and automation scripts.
  
• Analyzeresults and create reports for management as required.
  
• Trackproblems, defects, and issues throughout large-scale project initiatives.
  
• Createknowledge base articles documenting procedures, solutions, and bestpractices.
  

Work Arrangement

• Minimumof 3 days per week onsite in Toronto, Ontario.
