Our client is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team on a 12-month contract. This is a hands-on role focused on building and improving deployment platforms, automation, CI/CD and container-based environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Develop automation scripts using Python and Bash.
- Build and support containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support the migration of existing applications and services to Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring, dashboards and alerting using Grafana or similar observability tools.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
- Work closely with development teams to improve deployment workflows and DevOps processes.
- Support and maintain Jenkins infrastructure, including servers, agents, backups and monitoring.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer or Cloud Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based workloads.
- Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Strong scripting skills using Python and Bash.
- Experience with Docker and container management.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana.
- Good understanding of security best practices across CI/CD pipelines and microservices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
