Summary
12-month contract IaC/DevOps Engineer role (onsite in Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra) designing and running cloud infrastructure on GCP. Day to day involves writing production Terraform, automating provisioning with Ansible and Packer, and embedding security into CI/CD pipelines. NV2 security clearance is required.

Responsibilities
- Design, build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Develop and maintain production-grade Terraform configurations for repeatable infrastructure deployments.
- Deploy, configure and operate Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Automate infrastructure configuration and provisioning using tools such as Ansible and Packer.
- Embed security controls, compliance checks and best practices into infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and maintain hardened machine images and secure infrastructure environments.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and improve automation, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including writing and maintaining production IaC.
- Proven experience deploying and operating Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, including integrating security controls into deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Packer and automated, hardened machine images.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, security and automation principles.
