Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer with strong expertise in OpenShift administration, cloud migration, automation, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing large-scale OpenShift clusters, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and driving DevOps/GitOps practices in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, automate, and manage large-scale Red Hat OpenShift Clusters.
- Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Lead and support application migrations to cloud platforms.
- Implement and maintain GitOps-driven configuration management and deployment processes.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize OpenShift platform performance, availability, and security.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure platform stability and scalability.
- Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for critical services.
- Manage containerized workloads and OpenShift virtualization (KubeVirt).
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift Administration.
- Expertise in Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud migration and container platform operations.
- Good understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, including developing API consumers and publishers.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure concepts and enterprise platform architecture.
- Understanding of OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt).
- Expertise in DNS concepts:
- Authoritative & Non-Authoritative DNS
- Dynamic DNS & BIND DNS
- DNS Forwarders
- Strong understanding of SSL/TLS communications, including:
- SSL Handshake
- Cipher Suites
- Encryption Algorithms
- Experience with Active Directory administration, Security OUs, and Group Policies.
- Knowledge of Certificates Management:
- SAN Certificates
- Client Authentication
- Keystores
- Mutual SSL (mTLS)
- Experience managing Load Balancers, Firewalls, and Site Selectors.
- Hands-on experience with Vault solutions such as CyberArk and HashiCorp Vault.
- Strong understanding of High Availability (HA) and resilient infrastructure design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise-scale Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
- Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
