Network Contracting, an IT staffing firm, is building a talent pool for DevOps/Platform Engineer roles based in Midrand (Gauteng), South Africa. The engineer designs CI/CD pipelines, provisions cloud infrastructure with IaC, supports containerised workloads, and improves monitoring and reliability, typically with 4+ years' experience across Azure/AWS tooling.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services using infrastructure-as-code.
- Support containerised applications and orchestration platforms in development and production.
- Implement monitoring, logging, security controls and operational practices to improve reliability.
Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:
Education
- A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is advantageous.
- Relevant Azure, AWS, Kubernetes or DevOps certifications will be advantageous.
- Infrastructure-as-code or automation training will be beneficial.
- Hands-on platform engineering experience is highly valued.
Experience
- Typically 4+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure or automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containers and infrastructure-as-code.
- Monitoring, scripting, release management and production support experience will be highly advantageous.
Skills
- CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
- Azure or AWS, Docker and Kubernetes or similar container technologies.
- Terraform, Bicep, ARM or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Scripting, monitoring, logging, security and incident troubleshooting.
