DevOps (Python, AWS) Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS services, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with security best practices.

• Develop, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and Python to streamline software delivery and infrastructure deployments.

• Manage, monitor, and support enterprise infrastructure environments, following a "you build it, you own it, you support it" approach throughout the application lifecycle.

• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver infrastructure and platform solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve DevOps processes.

• Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions using Ansible and, where applicable, Terraform, while ensuring operational reliability, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

Required technologies: Python, AWS Services, CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git, Ansible


• Optional technologies: Terraform
• Broad experience working across many AWS services. You must believe that security is a fundamental aspect of delivering solutions and know what it takes to do so in an AWS context.
• Practical understanding of DevOps practises and Agile working techniques. You build it, you own it, you support it mentality.
• Demonstrable enterprise infrastructure delivery success stories.
• Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Proficient experience with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc…
• Nice to haves include: Good non-functional testing experience; Understanding of risk management and ensuring compliance against relevant regulatory processes;
