Diesel Mechanic

Red Stag, LLC is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Mt. Vernon, TX. We are a leader in the milk-hauling transportation industry and are looking for a dependable, knowledgeable mechanic to help keep our trucks and trailers safe, reliable, and on the road.If you have hands-on diesel experience, take pride in your work, and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel engines, including DD15 and D13 engines
• Perform brake repairs and replacements
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
• Repair and replace differentials and other mechanical components
• Perform safety checks and DOT inspections
• Repair and maintain trailers
• Perform tire and fender repairs
• Identify mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Requirements

• At least 1 year of diesel engine/mechanical experience
• Valid Class C driver's license required
• Class A CDL is a plus
• ASE or other mechanic certifications preferred, but not required
• Must have your own basic hand tools; specialty tools are provided
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to safety
