DIESEL TECHNICIAN I - Ellenwood

PURPOSE.

To maintain company equipment in accordance with company standards, while maximizing utilization and uptime with a focus on company cost objectives.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.

• Assist in performing most repairs and services.

• Repair equipment in the most effective manner with a focus on quality and cost control.

• Conduct all repairs in a manner that emphasizes personal and coworker safety.

• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• Basic Hand Tools Required (Service Manager can provide list)

• Technician must have Required list within 30 days of employment

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.

• Experienced in computer based maintenance systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED SKILLS.

• Minimum one year of experience in vehicle repair.

• Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.

• Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.

• Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.

Qualifications and Education Requirements.

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Proficient in computer based maintenance systems

• Vendor sponsored training in major vehicle components

Preferred Skills.

• Minimum five years of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair
