Transport Refrigeration, Inc. (TRI), a Thermo King dealership, is hiring Diesel Technicians, Diesel Mechanics, and Reefer/Transport Refrigeration Technicians for our Madison, WI location.
Whether you're an experienced technician or newer to the trade, TRI provides paid on-the-job training and Thermo King factory training to help you build a long-term career in transport refrigeration, diesel, and mobile HVAC.
You'll diagnose and repair transport refrigeration units, APUs, diesel heaters, and truck cab A/C systems that keep trucks, trailers, and refrigerated transportation equipment operating.
💰 Pay & Benefits
- $55,000 - $100,000/year, based on experience
- Monday–Friday, 1st shift
- Monthly Technician incentive up to $500
- Quarterly shop productivity bonus up to $1,000

🔧 What You'll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration units
- Service and repair APUs and diesel-powered heaters
- Diagnose and repair truck cab A/C and HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
- Perform road service calls and participate in an on-call rotation after training
- Use diagnostic equipment, shop tools, hoists, and other service equipment
- Complete repairs within standard repair times while maintaining quality and safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop
✅ What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; technical school preferred
- Previous experience in diesel, automotive, HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical repair
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain required tools/toolbox
- Proficient mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Driven to learn and develop new technical skills
- Ability to obtain required industry certifications, including:
- Thermo King Certi-Tech
- EPA 608 & 609
