As part of our growing GCC team, you will collaborate closely with UK-based teams and multidisciplinary experts, supporting the delivery of high-impact infrastructure projects. You will work alongside early-career professionals, experienced engineers, and project managers across the Roads business and other disciplines, contributing to the development and improvement of local and strategic road networks.
This role places you at the heart of a high-performing, collaborative, and digitally driven environment, where your expertise will directly support innovation, efficiency, and quality in engineering delivery


What You’ll Be Working On…

Highway design solutions such as access roads, haul roads, and infrastructure supporting major programmes like the National Grid’s Great Grid Upgrade
A wide range of highway improvement projects delivered under frameworks such as National Highways Scheme Delivery
Road design and upgrades for local highway authorities across the UK
Large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, offering exposure to areas such as digital engineering, carbon, drainage, and utilities
Opportunities to contribute to emerging digital initiatives and enhance engineering delivery practices


Key Responsibilities

Work within multi-disciplinary, global teams to deliver innovative highway and infrastructure solutions
Deliver engineering outputs across projects of varying size, complexity, and lifecycle stages, often managing multiple assignments simultaneously
Apply digital engineering, automation, and data-driven design techniques to enhance project delivery
Use tools such as Python, C++, Dynamo, and AI-enabled workflows for automation, design validation, and data analysis
Improve efficiency, coordination, quality, and carbon outcomes through digital solutions and automation
Reduce manual effort and enhance data reliability through scripting, data pipelines, and model-based workflows
Collaborate with Project and Technical teams, including supporting carbon measurement initiatives under WSP’s Future Ready programme
Develop and maintain reusable digital tools, templates, and documentation to standardise delivery
Leverage platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) for integrated workflows
Support BIM and Common Data Environment (CDE) delivery, including tools such as ProjectWise and Autodesk ACC, aligned with ISO 19650 standards
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental regulations, and QA/QC processes
Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives within the GCC
Support integration of emerging technologies such as GIS, Digital Twins, and IoT into infrastructure delivery


What We Are Looking For…

Understanding of highway engineering principles (preferred)
Familiarity with UK standards such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, and local authority guidelines (preferred)
Experience working with data tools such as MS Excel or similar systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with global stakeholders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams
Good organisational skills with high attention to detail
Interest in digital engineering, automation, and innovation in infrastructure delivery
