Engineer - (UK ) Highways & Roads
- You should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of and experience of UK highway design including road geometry, pavement, signages, and road markings.
- You will be able to use the relevant design software such as Civil 3D, Open Roads, MX, PDS/Key Line and Sign, AutoCAD and ProjectWise.
- Proficient in use of standard office software
- Confidence to seek clarification of instructions and work scope
- Able to liaise as necessary with the UK project team to deliver the schemes/projects
- You will be quick to pick up new ideas and skills, and be able to think laterally to generate new solutions to problems.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver highway engineering designs and construction drawings for UK-based projects in line with DMRB and relevant UK standards
Undertake geometric design, including horizontal & vertical alignments, junctions, and corridor modelling
Design elements such as:
- Road geometry
- Pavement layouts
- Drainage strategies
- Signage & road markings
Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications to a high standard
Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams (drainage, structures, utilities, etc.) to develop integrated design solutions
Liaise with UK project stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
Manage and deliver multiple projects/work packages simultaneously
Ensure compliance with design standards, QA processes, and Health & Safety policies
Proactively identify risks, constraints, and design challenges, and propose practical solutions
Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting team capability development
Strong experience in UK or any International highway design standards (DMRB, TSRGD, etc.)
Hands-on experience in:
Highway geometric design
Junction and corridor design
Pavement and drainage coordination
Proficiency in design tools such as:
Civil 3D / OpenRoads / MX / PDS / KeyLINES / AutoCAD
Experience with ProjectWise is desirable
Good understanding of multi-disciplinary coordination and design integration
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
